Spring Hunt At Burlington Beach – April 24th

REMDA Spring Hunt at Beachway Park!

As discussed at the meeting on March 9th, we will have a beach hunt on Burlington’s Beachway Park on April 24th.  Further details will be discussed at the April 13th REMDA meeting.

There was never enough snow for a Snow Hunt, so we decided to have a hunt on the beach instead. Just pretend the sand is snow and you will be fine. Plus it is good practice before the big Southern Ontario Beach Hunt.  We will be planting silver and prize tokens in the sand for you to find. This hunt is free to all paid up REMDA members.

11am First Hunt – Silver, Prize Tokens, and clad
12 noon Lunch – pizza (paid for by REMDA) will be available; bring a desert to share and drinks for yourself
1pm Second Hunt – Silver, Prize Tokens, and clad
2pm Go home with your goodies

Things to bring: handful of clad to add to the hunt (no pennies please), a token prize (approx. $10 value), your detector, your usual beach tools, dessert to share and beverages for yourself.

Beachway Park is located on the Burlington side of the Skyway lift bridge. Just look for the paved parking lot by the main entrance of the park. There will be a boardwalk going from the parking, past changing rooms/bathrooms, and on to the beach. Click on the map image below to get a better idea of where this event will take place. This is a picture I took of the actual map board at Beachway Park. Really easy to find.
